Minors

PromoSimple is open to all visitors. Account creation is intended for people who can validly consent under applicable law.

In Quebec, consent for a person under 14 must be given by a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a minor registered without valid consent, contact support@promosimple.ca to request account deletion.

Information collected

Account: email, name, address, city, postal code, approximate coordinates, shopping preferences, interest categories, favourite stores, search radius.

Usage: shopping lists, product searches, retailer favourites, contact messages, beta feedback, Premium subscription.

Price alerts: product URL you provide, baseline price, verification history, email notification preferences.

Technical: authentication session cookies, language preference, server logs (IP, timestamp, user-agent).

Security: bot verification during registration.

Audience measurement (if consented): pages viewed, approximate navigation path, device type and similar technical data via an analytics tool.

Advertising (if consented): advertising identifiers and cookies set by the ad network to show ads.

Purposes

Provide the service: multi-category flyers, price comparison, shopping lists, deals near you.

Personalize the experience based on your preferences, categories and postal code.

Monitor price drops on product URLs you submit and notify you.

Enable redirects to retailer sites (outbound links), including when affiliate programs are active.

Measure audience and improve the site (only with your consent to measurement cookies).

Show advertising (only with your consent to advertising cookies).

Process payments and manage Premium subscriptions.

Maintain site security and prevent fraud.

Legal basis and consent

Registration requires your explicit consent to this policy and the terms of use.

Audience measurement and advertising cookies rely on separate consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the banner or your profile cookie settings.

Retention

Active account: retained while the account exists.

Price alerts: retained while the alert is active; after trigger or deletion, related data is erased or anonymized as needed for support.

After deletion: profile, lists and alerts erased; some support messages may be kept in anonymized form for up to 24 months.

Technical logs: up to 12 months.

Premium billing records: as required by law.

Your rights (Law 25)

Access and correction: via your profile or by contacting us.

Portability: JSON export from Profile → Export my data.

Deletion: Profile → Delete my account.

Withdraw consent (audience measurement and advertising): via the cookie banner, profile cookie settings, or browser settings.

Right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).

Privacy incidents

If an incident poses a risk of serious harm, we will notify the CAI and affected individuals as required by Law 25.

Transfers outside Quebec

Some processors handle personal information outside Quebec, mainly in the United States, with appropriate contractual safeguards.

Third-party flyer viewers embedded on the site may collect data under their own policies.

Sub-processors

We use sub-processors for authentication, hosting, database, payments, bot verification, media storage, transactional email, flyer distribution, periodic price-alert checks (service hosted outside Quebec), audience measurement (if consented), advertising (if consented), and when applicable affiliate networks for outbound links — mainly in the United States or elsewhere outside Quebec.

No retailer endorsement

PromoSimple is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the retailers whose flyers and trademarks appear on the site.

When affiliate links are active, a disclosure appears near shop buttons; PromoSimple may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
