How we compare

We group deals from current flyers by precise product type — cat litter, toilet paper, motor oil, golf balls — wherever a comparison makes sense. For each type we keep each retailer's cheapest deal, with the product name shown. Brands and formats may differ — read each offer's name before drawing conclusions.

Frequently asked questions

Why aren't some product types in the basket?

We only compare product types where at least two retailers have deals in the same week — and only where the comparison makes sense (cat litter, toilet paper, batteries…). A type on sale at only one retailer doesn't enter the basket.

Does a winning retailer mean it's cheaper everywhere?

No — the score shows on how many product types the retailer has the cheapest deal this week. The products compared aren't identical: they're each retailer's best offer in the same product type.

Are these in-store or online prices?

These are the prices advertised in this week's flyers. They can vary by store — check the retailer's flyer before heading out.
